Stunning BigV - just beautiful ... the lion is outstanding, and as for the meercat, can't go wrong

Looks like it was good, the zoo's always good value... The Lion is terrific, and looks like the lighting's good or you've exposed it nicely...
Orang's and meerkats are so cool... The primates are my favorites, I could watch them for ages... The meerkats, well you just wanna take one home... Aka Andrew
First two are excellent. Brilliant pose from the lioness and great colours and patterns from the ant(?)
The third one doesn;'t quite work for me, not enough of the orangutan - i.e. it's not as dominant as the lioness. The meerkat is cool - Meerkats always remind me of my mother -in-law for some reason. Matt
Big V,
Orang utan is a bit distant and a tad too dark, unfortunately. Lioness and meerkat are just superb. Great expressions and very sharp. You don't often see a pose such as this and it really is a great shot. Cheers Michael

Hi Big V, Great shots. Is the new "Immersion" exhibit open yet? I thought it was nearly done, but haven't heard anything. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Lee, one of the advantages of having thursday's off is you can go to the zoo when no one is around and have the whole joint to yourself..no little ones getting in the way. The animals are really active in the morning , then they all get a rest around lunch time. Thursday is feeding day for the big cats, so in the arvo back to the action...When are you next down? Stev and I are probably going to Beri this thursday, he is picking up a supercharger for his car from CAPA
