Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Kipper they are great stuff. #1 and #3 are especially appealing to me, but they are all very nice. Love it.

1,2,4 are my favs, 3 I liked less because of the bright horizontal line going through the head. Which is rippled water catching the light.

I like no. 1 over 3 because it has a normally shaped bird. The bird in no. 3 is a bit on the thin side.

All the same bird btw. It's a Juvenille Black Winged Stilt. Mum was near by making a lot of alarm calls as junior looked still a bit uneasy on it's feet and had a few Red Necked Avocets chasing him/her off.

Mate, these are nature mag stuff...

I thought the first was terrific, but they just kept getting better... You are making what-ever the hell lens you've got sing it's brains out...

4 and 5 are simply wow, the DOF in all of them to here seperates the subjects from their backgrounds so well it's just damn nice, in #6 I think I can almost feel the connection between the photographer and their surroundings... Your understanding of your environment comes out in your images, they're very good...

Congrats on these, they're excellent...

Cheers Andrew, I appreciate the kind words. I think I'm on my way but I know I'm up against stiff competition who have had many years experience. I think if I perceiver I will get there.

Cheers Mark, and I look forward to your shots too.

You ended up getting rid of your studio equipment didn't you? If so, that was a shame. I thought you really excelled at studio work and should of kept with it.

Yep, I think it's a wise move Mark. Keep the PJ work as work, and the studio stuff as a hobbie/enjoyment (with the odd buck made on the side).

IM NOT A BIRD WATCHER!!! :)

My parents call me a twitcher but I tell them I haven't got the ID knowledge that a lot of experienced bird watchers have. Nor do I just sight a bird and move on, I take my time.
