Gary that points to the .com site? Is that right?
It doesn't matter for most users; they're interchangeable. I just prefer to keep the heavier posters (like the person of the first party in this message) on the .com site in order to keep the memory usage on the .net site manageable.

A little off topic, but how is the quasi-loading balancing working Gary ? Is it having the desired affect, or near enough ?
Near enough, Craig.
I think that (and I'm talking off the top of my head here, not that that's a new experience) we've only had about two days in the last month or more where we overran the old limit, so it's all good. g.

Thanks, that's a great thread. On a side note, as I'm not able to post there, I use a Rancilio Silvia machine, and a Nemox Luxe grinder.
hi and welcome to the forum

I've tried the fancy patterns, but my skills are not nearly up to that level yet!
![]() Of course, I'm just happy that my humble $90 espresso machine (95% plastic, 5% imagination ![]() Nice shot of the cup too, BTW... The only thing I'd change is to leave a bit more space on the left side.. But that is a judgement call really!
Nice rosetta Micka, did you pour that yourself? I can never get so many leaves on mine, I can't seem to get the right amount of microfoam, the leaves turn out too fat?
I too use the Silvia + Rocky grinder. P.S. Any mods reading this, I also can't post to the thread Gary linked to, but I think I have enough posts to qualify, anyone care to grant me access? Ta.
That's one I poured. It does take a bit of practice to get decent at it, I think I have about a 1 in 3 strike rate of good latte art at the moment. Here's another I prepared earlier.... ![]() (on a side note, this was one of the first pics I shot with my D70s)
There is nothing like a good cup of coffee.........heheee

Coffee aside, I actually thought the composition of the photo was pretty darn good. Nice and tight, obeys the rule of thirds and even though the cup and saucer are pushed over to the left, the actual point of interest, the pattern in the crema, is almost centred. Nice diagonal shooting angle too.
I had to make the odd coffee in the bar I worked in once. I tell you , I was flat out trying to produce a decent bit of froth for the cuppacinos, let alone patterns of trees and hearts. Jonas Nikon D70s, Nikkor 18-70, Sigma 70-300DG APO
