ANZAC BrisbaneI did not take many photos as I was marching for the first time, I had always been working as a photographer before.

hmmm, thought provoking and makes me wonder .... do you have to get a permit to carry a rifle in the parade?

Life's too short to be sad ! http://bigred4x4.blogspot.com/2008/01/welcome.html http://bigred.redbubble.com
These are very emotional and powerful images, particlularly the nurse (this one seems a bit soft?) and the proud young man marching with his rifle. The image of the young man dressed like that with the expression is a very engaging image...
Would love to see the last couple in B&W... Aka Andrew
the nurse photo is a bit soft she was marching in one direction I was heading in the other it was just a grab shot as we passed at f2.8.
I still don't mind the shot I may try to sepia it but my PS skills are very limited ![]() I find the young man sad and frightening as many of our soldiers in past wars have been around his age. I always recall my older relatives singing a simple song "Cheer up sonny you'll soon be dead, it's a short life but a gay one" there were more verses but I was too young to hear them. They sang this in the trenches to cheer up the young kids who were frightened or homesick. Very black humor.
