had a lot of smoke around which coloured the blacks a red/brown so i added shadow to get deeper blacks.

Very nice Shane. Much more relaxing to look at than to drive over...

That's a good capture Shane - well exposed and nicely composed.

very nice photo. however i think the red and green lights ruin the continuity of orange street lamps.
very nice though, and the red and green could not be helped obviously, and a P&P would just ruin the image. nicely done ![]()
A classic image... Having gone through a bit of a pier fetish myself recently I can relate to it...
![]() Seems nicely exposed too... Only thought is to perhaps crop some off the top to raise the pier in the image, the green lights I assume you could change their hue in PP of you wanted to... Aka Andrew
Mudder, it's actually a bridge; the Hornibrook highway ![]() Nice shot Shane, I've been wanting to go out there myself one evening. Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
Sorry to correct you Dion (you're bigger than me, actually you're bigger than 95% of the population) but it's the Houghton Highway. The old Hornibrook is in chronic disrepair just behind it. ![]() (Picky bugger, aren't I?) Simon

I liked this when I first saw it because of the perfect exposure, a very hard thing to achieve.
