Nice capture once again, if you go inside you may spot few aircrafts with Ansett livery on them.
I was there about two years ago and took me half a day, just finished a part of the grave yard.

That's where the Australian Defence force bought our Sea Sprite helicoptors from, after the US tried to give them to the Greek Government and got rejected.

Not from that grave yard, there're mainly civilian and commercial jets, also the holding yard for all the big aircraft leasing companies, who lease commercial aircraft all over the world.
They got them from AMARC the Sea Sprite.
Don't you know the RAAF still have about 10 x F111 stored at David Monthan, AZ (AMARC) just for spare parts when they needed, that where all our monies go.

I thought of hopping thru hole in fence and having a look around, but the thought of a security dog biting me got the better of me.

Birdie, do you have "Google Earth" programme installed? If so, I have an amazing place for you to look at.

Perhaps, what you've seen is just one part of the grave yard and that part is the holding yard of new a/c for leasing companies.

Birdie, I've lost the co-ords but there is a place somewhere in either Arizona or Texas that has 100s and 100s of brand new warplanes just sitting these. Literally hundreds of billions of dollars in aircraft. Do you know the place I'm talking about. (I saw it the other day on google earth at a friends' house)

That's in Tucson AZ, we call AMARC next to David Monthan AFB.
There's also a big aviation museum with day tour the grave yard and number of the old Titan missiles of the Cold War era.

I still have ton of photos taken from AMARC with number of surpluses A/C, new, old, never used and scrapped metal yard, came from the surpluses.

Ton and ton of flight gears as helmet, flight suit, parachutes etc... I was at one auction, they auction these gears as a lot of 10 pallets, couldn't believe it.

Was inside the David Monthan AFB with my buddies, got closed and climbed up, inside the F16 and Warhawk, drooling and dreaming!

My wings were clipped

Chris, you are right, a pair of blackbirds, evidently able to leap tall mountains at the speed of sound, x3 or 4.

Birdie, I looked at Davis Monthan, the place I saw is about 20 times bigger with literally hundreds, amybe thousands, of planes. I will ring my friend tomorrow and find out the co-ords.

Yi-P, sunbath is not the word. It is steaming out here in the desert, but nice and cool at night, at least in May.

Max mate, pics are great glad you are getting around over there for a look and it is amazing what they put out in the desert these days. i have seen in some shows these type of grave yards where people have brought an decommissioned aircraft like some of these and made them into a home, very impressive but i guess yanks will do anything.
Enjoy the trip mate.
