Chris, I for one will discuss the balanced light...I think it's fanatstic! I see a very fine line of a shadow across the breast of the statue....but look at the rest of the image
Sahdoes are almost non existent and the exposure is still good ![]() ![]()
You have a statue of a topless archer on your shelf? Interesting
![]() I found the out of focus flowers on the right of the image a distraction. overall the contrast is very good and the lamp light is interesting. D50 - AF-S NIKKOR 18-70mm 3.5-4.5G ED
As a study, it's a great shot, it has some great qualities - goes to show if you know what you are doing... Anyway, who says it isn't interesting, semi-naked women, weapons...
What equipment did you use - also, the pic is unusually sharp for a web post, how do you process your images for web upload? D3 | 18-200VR | 50:1.4 | 28:2.8 | 35-70 2.8 | 12-24 f4

This was shot with the Nikon D1 and the 28-105mm Nikkor.
Straight forward sharpening, in this case it would have been USM. Chris

Chris, will you let us in on how you lit the image? On first glance it looks like you bumped into that scene and snapped it, but I've tried to recreate something similar and didn't get anything even close.
Still puzzled. Paul, I like your eye for detail ![]() Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
It was actually quite simple. The overall lighting is diffused daylight, the wall being approx 15ft from the window with lots of trees. The image was manipulated extensively is PS to balance the lighting.
