Lining it up

Was out and about this morning for a little while, three that took my fancy - a little on the 'arty farty' side of things and out of my ordinary. Comments welcomed:

Something different from you. You must have been in a creative mood. I like them all but the first one really does it for me. There's something intriguing about it. I presume with the D200?

Hey Geoff,
love the compostion of the first two, very arty....
The dof and lines work well in the first shot.
The second shot is also good, just an interesting real life shot, nice b/w conversion.
The third would be great, just suffers a little from a few reflections in the chrome and paint, it also looks like your legs are in there too.

I like the style of the first shot . Shame that first frame isn't round the other way with a headline on it .( Just my brain ticking over there )
The second one doesn't work for me .
The last one looks great . I actually like the look of the captured pano in the bumper bar . Cool .

The lines and Shallow DoF really work for me in #1, it reminds of something i did with a row of Steinlagers

The 3rd one, I love the colour and the fantastic clarity of the reflection in the bumper (I can't see you!)

Matt - yep all taken with the D200, first two with the 17-55 and the last one with the 70-200VR. I was feeling creative yep Matt, wanted to think outside my normal 'square' and this forum is a great way of encouraging us to do exactly that. These were taken on very little sleep

Marty - thanks...yes, they are my short legs in the bumper, Bel laughed

Drifter - I was going to rearrange all those framed papers, but the security dude looked somewhat scary.

like the 1st one as it shows a nice repetative scale and a hint of the background

#1 is superb. Creative AND intriguing - non english newspapers!

Geoff the first one is my favourite, it just works well. I had a chuckle at you legs in the bumper, but overall you hid yourself well. #2 reminds me of a group of bug like aliens rather then chairs (not that I've seen bug like aliens, but it was a unusual feel for something fairly ordinary).
