As the others have said great shot. What beach was it taken. You must have been close to the action or has been heavily cropped?

Thanks everyone. The shot was taken at Nth Narrabeen at the waters edge with a 300mm f2.8 and a 1.7 Teleconvertor. So as it wasn't full frame it wasn't all that severly cropped either.

Like the others I think this is one awesome image of saleabale quality. I'm guessing you didn't get a model release from the surfer though. I'd say it may be worth your while trying to track him down & get him to sign one.

I lvoe them as well. Incredibly clear shots. I was going to say that #2 is my favorite, but after looking at them again, I dont think I could choose between the two.

Stubbsy, what is a model release form? And most importantly where do I get one?

On the Ball Andrew, good work.

Tristram if you regularly visit the beach try to find that guy again, keep 4 or 5 of these in your camera bag at all times you don't know when they'll come in handy.

Thanks Andrew for the leads. The trouble I have is that say I take 150 photos of say 30 different surfers on the day and I really don't know which ones are usable until I see them on the PC monitor at home well after the event, it is not feasible to have all 30 surfers sign a MRF, what do you do???

Any advice to this novice is greatly appreciated.

good stuff john.
this was another favourite from the surf shots.

interestingly between us we have quite a few shots of this manouver as it was taking shape.

Its funny because we got lots of shots with the surfers attempting various KATA whilst in motion.
