Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Finally starting to go through my pics from a couple of weeks ago - trip up to Queensland via the Newell Highway through Narrabri.
This pano is from 13 shots joined together using Panorama Factory. Haven't spent a great deal of time PP'ing, and it's from the JPG version of the NEF&JPG, so there's still some improvement possible.

It's in the Mt Kaputar National Park ( http://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/parks.nsf/parkcontent/n0038?opendocument&parkkey=n0038&type=xo), just to the East of Narribri - really amazing bit of countryside. They reckon on a clear day (which this wasn't!) you can see 10% of NSW from this area. More to come in the coming days.
Any comments / suggestions for improving with PP? I think it's worth spending some time on it using the NEF files, but I want to trial it with the JPG's first. Last edited by sheepie on Tue Jul 11, 2006 10:23 am, edited 1 time in total.

Awesome. I love that part of NSW.
There is a nice drive from Narrabri, past sawn rock into Armadale. All back roads, wide 90% sealed roads and no cops, so you can give it some juice.

OK - have now redone this using the NEF files as the base, and have therefore been able to recover some detail in the sky. I think this is an improvement, and will be printing it out when I get my office back together and printer reconnected!

Thanks guys - something I'll look out for in the future is where I place the treeline - I think this would have benefited from having more of the foreground trees than there is.
I will be printing this large - the more I look at it the more I like it  *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
