A fantastic shot of your usual high calibre. Why is the whole image so blue? Did you use some sort of filter? Peter

Wow, what a fantastic image. Great exposure and the colours are brilliant. The boat really adds to the image, unfortunately for some fisherman.
Great work!! Steve.

thanks for the nice comments on this image...
to answer the question about what time of day it was, this was taken at about 8 pm that night...(sun goes down before 5 pm this time of year) shot in RAW, i bumped the white balance a tad to get even more of a cold feel to it...
Long time now see Dee, hope you are doing well! This is stunning, its just beautiful, I'm jealous I want snow out here so I can try something similar!
Well done, how many other shots did you take while you were out ? I'd love to see a few more.
Just quietly but I think this has a very good chance of taking out POTW, each time I come back I find something else to love about this shot.
Both are great shots!
We only had one snow the year I lived in Van.... I remember the cars heading south on Main (I think, maybe Cambie) and realising it was slippery after they crested the hill down to the river! Needless to say there was quite a pile up at the bottom! Luckily only peoples pride was hurt (and their cars!) ![]() Of course as a Saskatchewan native I was used to snow, and was passing most cars on the commute home on my motorcycle! ![]() ![]()
How did I miss this one Flippie? Wonderful image, makes me shiver just looking at it!

Very nice Dee. I so rarely visit here anymore (family commitments, not because I am off taking too many images) and post even less, but this image is fantastic and I couldn't let it pass.
Upon saying that I am going to go and jump into my pool! Enjoy your cooler climate, it looks magical. Deb "Sometimes when you are sad Poko, it's good to hug the monkey."
