i can see the thoughtful composition but what weakens the image is the huge wall to the right at first glance you miss the man on the chair and just kidn of stare into the wall
maybe if you re-crop this differently you can make it stronger but very well spotted and lovely moment
Hmmm, i can definatley understand where youre coming from wendel....
What do you think of this? Ive cropped it differently to accentuate the height of the tree, gotten rid of that wall, and added the lighter area under the tree to balance the top of the picture.... I dont know if what im doing is right, but it looks better to me. ![]() ![]()

Wendell's comment is a good one, but you've overdone the crop now. Take off no more than 1/3rd from the right and you'd have a great image. Peter

hi
it's interesting but i actually like the square crop its just that wall i guess you cant do much but crop it as a proportional portrait starting from the left the good thign about the original image is the space on the right it gives it a sense of scale and frames the tree very well it's just that darn wall 3i'd probably get slapped by the 'purists' out there but if your feeling brave id photoshop that wall out in the original image and just add in the rest of the landscape as you see fit
