Very nice Peter, I assume the water was naturally that colourful, is it the minerals etc that are in it that give it the aqua colouring ? Love the bubbling mud, the thermal shot reminds me a bit of Mic's work.. kind of reminds me of terminator 2 as well..

Terrific images, as usual, Peter.

I especially like #2 and #4. The inversion is a real eye-catcher.

I am mildly surprised at the colour of the mud in #3, which looks a little too chocolaty-brown to me. But you have captured the action perfectly.

I had a brief browse through your NZ photos at smugmug and it is a great place to visit.

Congratulations. :D

Sensational Peter!
The colours look spot on with just enough saturation for my taste. :)
I really must go to NZ..

Thank you all for your comments.

Craig - the water is indeed that colour as are some of the lakes (which you'll see more of when I post my south island pics). It's caused by the minerals in the water.

Trevor - thanks for pointing out my Sony colour processing in the mud shot. I've replaced it with a more colour accurate version.

Great images Peter. The waikato river looks good enough to throw a kayak into. Buggered if i'd be in the kayak though :)

Peter,
I like all of those. Number 2 I like best, it has a very 3-dimensional and natural look to it. Makes me feel like I'm there, looking at the falls.

Imagine what you could have achieved with a FF camera...

Cheers
Steffen.

Peter
The last 2 are great! They would make beautiful large fine prints and I can see them hanging up in an executive boardroom.
