Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Lovely Bindii Is this a tree you can revisit??? , I'd say getting 3-4 images of it with different clouds etc.. kind of doing a seasons thing with it would be very cool.

Ummm...yeah it is I suppose...its about 1/2 hr away...

the only problem is that I had to wade out into waist deep water to get the angle I needed for this shot...I guess what I am trying to say is that winter would so be out for me....;)

But its a great idea..I might have a look a little closer to home and see if I can find anoter simliar subject to give that a go...

Alternatively you could cheat using PP, and just change the tones in the background, or even insert a completely different background.

But perhaps a bluey-purple background, and a pinky-yellow background could complete your orange-tobacco like shot here? (just an idea).

Do you mind if I post what I'm thinking in my head, at least a quick and dirty version.. as always if you'd like me to delete the image, I'm more then happy too...

I apologise for the PP skills.

I actually like the original image as it shows the "true" colours if there's such a thing..
Even though we all adjust our images in one way or another its still an outstanding shot showing the beautiful outline of one of our most precious assets.

And besides, Paul, what would EnergyPolice say? ;)

Bindi, adding to what Craig suggested, just different times of day - sunset, sunrise, midday ... maybe a full moon shot?

And perhaps the acquisition of a wetsuit might assist as we approach the cooler days?

Or waders.

Fantastic shot Bindii. It has that, 'lone tree on top of a mountain,' feel to it. The clouds in the background look as though they are below the tree, rather than above it.

G'day

If you can get a person who enjoys reading the tide book, that would reduce your work list a little :)

Sorry... but I think it only fair that you suffer for your art... so a winter version of this added to the series would be pretty much a mandatory obligation.

Surely you're not suggesting that Bindi should be faking it? :)

The imported snow is so expensive this time of year, wait a few months and the natural stuff might be available.
