Wow! #1 and #3 are great - they have a great dreamy science fiction cover art look. I'm very impressed. Especially #3.

Very nice!
Do you live far from these, or go there often? Not sure how to critique, but I just want to comment that these are wonderful shots! I especially like #1 and #2! ---

thank you for sharing the info...It is something i would like to try...well done again on these ![]()
I have found that HDR's, expecially 5-7 shots u need to use fairly large apertures or have a fair amount of light. I usually use f/5.6 (my lens sweet spot) if i can, and will open the aperture bigger if required. The reason i do this is to maintain a fairly quick shutter speed, in the order of 1/400 or quicker. Once the exposures are overlayed, there's less overlay-blur and the waves semi-look what they are orginally. @ adam - nah i live in melbourne, and this was my first trip down the great ocean road. we also got some other pics along the way as well... ![]() ![]() Last edited by methd on Fri Mar 23, 2007 2:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.
#3 does it for me, and justifies your drive all by itself.
![]() The 12 Apostles are so often photographed, and photographed well, that it's especially impressive to see an image of them that brings something different to the table. #1 ain't bad either. --Chuan "When the only tool you have is Thor's hammer, every problem looks like a supervillain." -- Julian Sanchez
I really like 1 and 3. The movement of the waves and spray give a nice soft, misty feel to the ocean. I also really like the colours you brought out in all parts of the shots. Noice.
For me 2 gets a tad dark in the foreground, but aside from that also a lovely shot. Undecided on 4, very helpful I know! Thought it was too cool at first glance, but then again it is the ocean.. I do like the framing, just no sure about the colours. Probably just being fussy because I like the others so much!!
definately postcard worthy!! fantastic photos right there!

Well done - great set of pics
![]() Third one looks a tad Photoshopped but the effect works really well. Cheers Michael
That was well worth the drive then. I guess first time lucky in terms of timing and lighting with the clouds contributing to a very surreal and atmospheric setting. Top job!
