Did a Coastal wedding for a friend
it was really beautiful contemporary format, very lucky to have so much nice elements to work with
learned alot but the most important thing i learned was how to handle the emotional pressure, its one of the biggest days of their lives and i was responsible for capturing it, iv'e done a lot of complicated shoots in the past but somehow this shoot was the hardest to date.
still single contemplating marriage just before the ceremony
married for life
oh thanks fab for lending me his 17-35mm f2.8 lens, love the lens which I think is much more versatile than the 28-70 f2.8 and produces a more dramatic angle of view within the 17-35mm range

Well done mate.
Funny - to me how here you have got some very over-done wedding cliches (if it is what the people want, give it to them) and yet given them a freshness that makes them interesting to look at.
You are right in that you have been given nice elements - they are good looking people with taste (I want that suit) - in a good environment with nice light.
Even the fishing shot, while obviously posed, doesnt come off tacky.
I like.

Wendell, I like the composition in these shots and the natural looking expressions that you have captured but I am concerned that in the first three shots you have blown out detail in the flowers and or dress. One of the golden rules about weddings is you must show the detail in the dress and the flowers - the brides love seeing it because they have spent so much time agonising over them to make sure they are perfect.. Is there a chance you can recover some of the detail?

No. 2 is NICE I love the angle, will borrow that angle for next weeks wedding  Lovely expression from couple.
Just watch out for the blown flowers, BUT those flowers are white...so it is hard.

The second pic looks a tad bright. Have you tried to burn the background in a bit to just seperate the couple from the grass a bit more?

yes the fishing shot shows their love for the seashore lifestyle
they are northern beaches people but they have a holiday house in the south coast so they love everything to do with water
ie overblown bits that was intentional im trying to show a dreamy blown effect
there are many more safe correctly exposed images in the collection
personally i liked the first one it's in the fashion editorial style which is what i like
