I was asked to do another fashion editorial for Cream Magazine
as usual with fashion editorial theres no budget so i had to produce the shoot myself
I managed to get everyone to contribute because were all friends
The brief from cream was modern sci fi as this fashion week designers were pushing futurist looks
I interpreted the theme to Blade Runner Knights a play on the movie Blade Runner the original concept was going to be shot outside at futursit looking locations around the city but getting permits for location work was too complicated and the fact that it's winter now shooting at night would of been a nightmare
so back in the studio, sourced the props 4 fluro light tubes and 2 pieces of reflective perspex
outfit1
i worked out all the poses to be strong and angular with a martial arts/matrix feel to co-incide with the blade runner knights theme
our talented model Lauren executed my poses with precision and grace
Fashion: Giorgio Armani Couture skirt, Nicola Finetti top
Sax gloves House of Fetish, Prada shoes, stylists own vintage bangles
Thankyou so much to my team, im only as good as my team!

Incredible stuff Wendell - you and the team can be justifiably proud of these efforts. It all works so well together, in my eyes anyway.
The costuming is amazing and Lauren has really managed to replicate the Replicant look in that third shot.
Congratulations to all involved!

Wendell, these are amazing:
1. Great composition - my only niggle is the crop of the bottom left of the skirt. Tell you what, though, if I was a woman, I would want a skirt like that, but, I'm not so I don't.
2. This is a fantastic pose - very strong and dynamic. I love the implied parallels between her right arm and the bottom of the skirt with the dynamic flow of the skirt to her right hand. It seems petty, but the powerboard (bottom right) seems a little too Bunnings'ish, given your focus futurism. Also, the floor on the right (looking at the shot) fades to nothing, whereas on the left, it stops abruptly, which seems a little inconsistant.
3. My favourate - very strong pose, offset by the feminine outfit.
4. Again, fantastic and my only niggles as per 2 above.
Sufficed to say you have nailed the lighting and exposure on all of these, and your PP is fantastic.
Well done and thanks for sharing.
Regards, Patrick

Wonderful once again Wendell. The images are clean and crisp and carry an edge that tells me you nailed the brief. For me #1 shines brightest here.
