Despite the rushed shot and eagerness to get the camera back into the dry ship, I think it came out alright - the diagonal lines lead nicely into the shot

Haines PierThis one was taken in Haines, Alaska. It was raining and we were hurrying back to the ship after coming back from a shore excursion. I didn't even think about it at the time, but I just put the camera up to my eye, snapped and kept going. I guess I'm a sucker for vertical long pier shots

Excellent actually considering you were in a hurry...
![]() I'd crop a little off the top just to balance it out... but its still very good... The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...

What they said!
I also like the man walking down the pier, it also leads into the image with the ship as a destination - makes the photo more 'alive' to me than if it was just the pier by itself. Unless of course you only wanted the pier and the man/ ship are distractions .... ![]() Elena
Now you'll get me into trouble - that is actually my wife walking on ahead!! ![]()
Oops! Very sorry - I blame the poor monitor quality at work ..... Elena
