I spent the weekend freezing my but off down at the MotoGP at Phillip Island (it was well worth it)
here are a few sample images I managed to capture
I'll post a link to a bigger gallery later in the week when I have time to go through the 4,500 images I took and upload the gallery
all taken with D200, 70-200VR (some with 1.7 TC) I ran manual exposure all weekend as I'm starting to get better results that way
Colin Edwards, flat out Doohan corner (turn one)
Casey Stoner, leaned over in Siberia (turn six)
Frederico Sandi 250 rider, coming off lukey heights down to turn ten
Valentino Rossi blasting through the Hay Shed (turn eight)

Keith, these are really good mate. I hope you are happy with them.
Really like Stoner coming out of Siberia, you can see the concentration in his eyes. Also, the image of Sandi on Lukey Heights is great. Fantastic colours, saturation, sharpness, everything. Well done!

Luv the stoner one, esp because you can see the white of his eye. Great shots.

Love them, as with most of the others my pick is the World Champion!
I never noticed the "00" that he has between the "27"
Mal I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.

First race with the 00 as in 2007 Champion :>
I don't think I will bother posting what I took looking at those my are pretty poor compared.
But that is my favourite for the weekend. I am mostly happy with what I got with the equipment I had. I decided that I wanted to watch the racing more than take photos anyway.

Awesome.
Colour, clarity, composition - all great. #2 is my pick simply for the eyes, what these guys do is amazing.
Every bit of me is now itching to be financially irresponsible and buy a bike again...

Really like the first two... That second shot should be used to show a lot of new riders how far over you can get if you try!
