Nice shots with the 120 -300 2.8 sure was a nice lens to use. Who would of thought that you could use a 300 in pitch black on the possum hand held and still be so sharp.. The fisherman turned out well - just how it looked.

Thanks guys, i am also very happy with the sillouette shot. And yes virgs the 120-300 does handle exceptionaly well, and i have taken some super sharp shots with it over the last few weeks.

The first one is so idyllic and I can imagine it gracing a travel brochure.

Really like number one, looks like it would be at home in a fishing brochure or as a TV still frame. The possum shot for me has a lot going on within it. But that is just my personal opinon.

The first one is great, I can just imagine the fish coming on the bite, mozzies starting to pester...

Love #1.

Also love the 120-300/2.8. Went outside yesterday and shot with it handheld. YThe last year at the gym has helped, but not a huge amount :-)
cheers, juice

I really like #1. I guess the most striking thing about it is the colour, it's gorgeous! I like the composition as well, there is enough of the surrounds to give perfect context yet not distract from the real subject, a guy out fishing in a boat. Makes me want to go and find that fishing rod!

Thanks guys for all the comments, I have always been a big fan of the orange silhouette type shots and have never really been able to show the nice warm tones properly before, i think it was right subjects right afternoon.

Here is also another favorite from that afternoon although the resize and save for web has added some artifacts the original file is smooth as silk.

Adam - finally catching up with posts, in view that I spent several days in bed last week with a stomach virus :(

Possum shot is outstanding. Also like very much the silhouette shots, especially the Pelican :)
