Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Hi Guys, Finally got around to going through the piles of shots i've taken since i got my camera. Havent got photoshop but i do have access to lightroom so i made a few changes but being so new to this whole thing, im a sponge for suggestions. The shot is from early in the morning last weekend. Also trying to get the hang of resizing, uploading etc so apologies for any issues there. jase

I like the colours and composition. The only niggle would be the tope left cactus (OOF) and bottom left white bit..

I like this one. Interesting geometric shapes and nice and sharp. That said I wonder if it's just a tad too cyan (I've never seen a cactus that blue). I also think a removing a little of the image on the left may be worth examining. Overall though this is definitely a keeper.

I'm surprised Gary hasn't suggested this already

I'm not convinced that this needs to be cropped, either square or from the left. But that's just me

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Im going to have more of a play around with it to see what the end result looks like with some adjustments to crop and tones etc.
In regards to the colour, just nipped outside for a look and the cactus does have a little bit of dark green/blue towards the tips but i think it was the morning light and my lack of ability with post processing that has accentuated it to that point. Might shoot it again tomorrow morning with some different WB settings to warm it up a little.
Ill get there eventually.
