DSLRusers' roving reporter here in sunny, warm, balmy London. Balmy as in mildly crazy, not warm. At a brisk 1 degree C at present, or thereabouts, it's time to sit in my motel room in Shepherd's Bush, and upload a few snaps. I'm only in the Old Country for about 48 hours, enroute to Spain, the land of churros, then Italy, land of margherita pizza and Lamborghini. Or is it Lamborghini pizza?

Despite the drab weather, London is full of colour. Well, at least the colour yellow.

Went out and played using long exposure, learn a few things but need practice a lot more. This is the best of hour play and not what I was after, more dark and moody. :)
Lee big stopper, .9 ND grad @ 26s F5.6 24mm iso 125. I started at F11 and some how changed it to F5.6? by the time I noticed it was overcast.

I took my friends who were visiting out and we had a welcoming party, complete with a few squads of police monitoring all the streets. This encounter is on a much smaller scale than what happened a few months ago. Not your regular weekday night crowd!

This guy ran out into the middle of the road when I was trying to get a photo of the group.

Last night being a 12% moon, I decided to get out and try capture some stars. Well I went with hubby and 4 kids after dark and well that was a mistake to start with..... late nights and kids out in the dark don't mix... so my trip was cut short when my fuse and hubby's fuse was about to blow. I got off a few shots, really happy with them all but this one in particular I wanted to share as it was shot at the highest ISO for the night. (got 10 shots off in total) varying from 800 iso up to 2000 i think.

So this shot captured the most light due ...

Grandkids and Fuji cameras go hand in hand. OK, any camera will do, but the X100s is the one that comes to hand, currently.

I know some folks don't like portraits of kids, but today I couldn't help but take photographs of them. For some reason their eyes all stood out with what they were wearing, and well I hadn't used the xt1 for portraits yet so I asked the kids to get comfortable and fired of some shots as they were naturally, no posing just natural. So I know the poses aren't the best, but for snaps of the kids I am pretty happy with them. So here's my four kids growing up too quick in my opinion.
(File sizes aren't off my main computer, these were smaller file ...
