Well, they're interesting to me at least.

Brian. (I have posted an image of this gentleman in past years, but here's a recent image.) Brian was created to be photographed!

It's no secret that I'm a fan of the image quality, the colours in particular, of the Fuji X series cameras. They have that unexplainable X factor that just sometimes takes my breath away.

A different side to the Gold Coast

Well I managed to get out again to photograph the Gold Coast from behind. Dave watched the four kids in the dark with bats flying around and spent most of the time trying to keep them out of trouble while I had a little bliss time to relax and take some photos.
There were quite a lot of little boats flying around which ruined quite a few photos by impacting the reflections on the water etc.
However, I am happy to say there is one that I love, and two more that aren't too bad in my opinion.

I am keen for some feedback on this image, particularly regarding any colour cast - I do have a calibrated monitor, yet I find some images (waterfall/ lots of green i the scene) often have a slight purplish tinge, i do notice this when using a CPL and a light ND (3 stops) and usually correct for it by adjusting the colour balance (yellow and red) however this image had only the CPL on and I thought I removed any telltale signs of the tinge, thoughts? click through to flickr for a larger resolution version. Ok, its september and its that time of year where my family has migrated north from country vic to the Gold Coast. I know there are so many photos of the Gold Coast city, I even tried a year or two ago myself. Although this year I think I topped my past efforts. Bellow are two images from last wednesday evening as the sun was about to set and at dusk after it had set.
I like both, but feedback would be greatly appreciated so I can get the perfect shot to get done as a print for the wall seeing as this place is a home away from home to us. I am ...

Is there an useable alterantive for the WT-5 for Nikon D4 cameras? The $700 price tag is to high for me.

I have found a few solutions but either they are not reliable or they require a third party wireless.

Is there cheaper solution so I can control a D4 remotely?

What a beautiful moon last night. This was snapped from my bedroom balcony with the help of my Nikon J1 + FT1 combination and that Tamron SP 500mm f/8 Adaptall2 lens that I am growing to love ever more. Stability was provided by a Sirui T2205x + K10x combination. These images have not been cropped.

SOOC jpeg from my XT-1/56mm. Flowers straight from the garden this morning. Stuck in a vase. Colourful. Naturally diffused window light.
