Stubbsy, I like the contrast and the patterns in the fountain shot. Nicely composed :D

The fountain pic is excellent Peter. All the more amazing that you were able to get this bit of it without the hordes of annoying children clambering all over it. I don't think i've ever been passed that thing without it being inundated by youngsters. Good for them, that they can enjoy art in a physical way, but bad for me as i'd like to photograph it one day without people on it.

The transition to B&W suits the image really well. Although i would have applied a bit more contrast. But that's my personal style.

The wall is good too, but it seems just a little too tight in crop. The memory wall is something that cold be shot in so many different ways and still look refreshing.

Well done Peter.
Steve.

I like them both. There does not seem to be much water in the first one or is that just the angle.

The first one is about circles and the second one is about triangles.

Both great shots Peter, and both suit B+W.

Stubbsy, loved your first fountain shot and now I am jealous of your first 'also ran' shot. Very nice

Peter,

The fountain shot is terrific and works tremedously well in B&W.
I always take a shot of that fountain when I go past, trying to get that one original viewpoint and your first one is that shot i strive for but never acheive.

Nice work

Thanks guys. I think part of the appeal with these shots is that (as Steve suggests) I was lucky enough to take the pics when there were no kids in the scene.
