Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. okay, get your mind outta the gutter 
This is part of a product shoot i did for a friend's website advertising their banana protector, "<b>the banana guard</b>". You never fail to amaze with the breadth of your abilities. I know this is a bit of a rude (personal) question but were these shots 'art-directed' or were they your own design. It seems a fun and flippant product - somewhat superfluous to requirements given that the banana, along with the egg, comes delivered in its own perfect packaging - and you have kept that sense of fun and flippancy in your shots. It may just be the perils of internet reproduction but I would like to see the rear corner and near-side lid of the little lunch pail resolved with greater clarity ... or for other edges to be made indistinct in keeping with its present style. Does it come with the pineapple protector or do I buy that separately? Sorry but every time I walk through a supermarket or shopping mall I think to myself we are way too rich and have way too much stuff. This is pointless to the obscene. "Live simply so others can simply live" Nice shots thought!

yeah i came up with the ideas for the product shots (with the help of my wife), and used sb800, black velvet , a tripod, and a white sheet for equipment...
thats it....
Dee, nice. Like Sheetshooter I wonder about the underside of the red case in the tin, it seems a little fuzzy and the left edge of the base and lid of the tin. That may be the jpg compression and realistically in an add no one would notice it. I like the shots.
As for your friend who thought of the product, he is either very imaginative or the drugs are really good in Vancouver I must say I never felt the need for such a product. He is aware the brown spots on bananas are due to age not impacts?
These things cost CA$5.99 (about $7 aussie). I just don't get it. The web site has had over 200,000 hits (bet 99% aren't buying). No offense to you or your friend Dee since everyone needs to make a buck, but these seem yet another example of the waste in our affluent over packaged society. As for the most important thing. Dee these shots are of your usual high and eye catching quality. Peter

these banana protectors have been promoted to mountain bikers as a must have accessory, as bananas do tend to get squashed when carried in a pack with other stuff... which is why I eat my banana before a ride.
No other riders I know of have bought one either. Gordon D70, D200, CP5700
So if 99% aren't buying - 1% are buying so that means 2,000 * $7 = $14,000 so far with more to come. - More than one way to raise cash and it is likely to be more fun than sitting in a cubicle all day. I'd never buy one though, my banana's wouldn't fit. I like Lady's Fingers bananas - more flavour and more girth
you might have to put warning labels on these, in case you get sued by somone who decides to intendly misuse them.
