Seems like its storm season all over the country.

Here are a couple that I managed to capture from the storm that came up the coast on Saturday night, off Narrabeen Beach Sydney. My 1st attempts at lightning shots (its not that easy)

That first one is a keeper, blow it up poster size, frame it and sell it...
(It certain compares to the link of the pro lighting photography).

Great shots, especially for your first try.... How good are all these storms, they are turning up awesome photos!

They are both great pics, but i feel the first one could do with the foreground cropped a bit to get rid of the part of the image that isn't doing anything.

Very nice. Number one is my favourite and as Killa suggested I think a pano crop would make this really work well.

They are awesome! Especially the 1st one. I also agree that the pano crop would probably work well. Any chance of some EXIF from that 1st photo?

Good Work!

Pano for the win!! Top notch stuff, lightning over water and lightning over skyscapers make some of the finest shots, we've had examples of both in the recent storms.. excellent stuff.

I prefer the first one.

The pano crop makes it much better in my opinion.
