Great work Kerry, I think the first is my favourite the whole photographer taking a photo of someone taking a photo... btw what was she photographing ?? The OOF background has so many thing happening in it, the lights, people hurrying along the streets, its a great capture.
The second one I like, it it's almost odd to have no people actually in the room, while the lighting and no-doubt heating make the room cosy the lack of people inside gives me the sense of isolation and lonelyness.
Looks like you drink alone........ nice pix's.........
Cheers ....bp....
Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing
Thanks for all of the kind comments.
![]() Andrew: The bar shot was taken a little early. It was only about 1/4 full at the time of the shot and everyone was behind me. ![]() Marco: I didn't have the d200 prior to this trip to NYC. Unfortunately, Detroit doesn't have nearly as much to offer, especially in the winter, with respect to these kinds of photo ops. I hope to be able to do something like this with the d200 soon though. BBJ; Good luck with your high ISO attempts on the d2x. I'd suggest low contrast setting in camera and slight overexposure. Then bring exposure down in post. That should help a little with noise. Matt: NYC is very cool for street photography. Lots of neat places to go. I think Chicago is quite similar, but don't know if Chicago has a Times Square type of place with all the brightly lighted signs. Craig: The lady was snapping several shots of the bright signs there in Times Square. I think she was just reviewing a shot in this photo. my gallery of so-so photos
