That's a great moment captured there, seems like a great trial in a tiny world...
The sharpness on the grass seed stalk on the left has an almost 3d effect (or is that the stubbie I just had ![]() Aka Andrew
Rel - your shots never cease to amaze me with their colour, sharpness, subject matter and your tenacity

Great work Rel, amazing find, and then great timing, DOF and so sharp!
I spent a hour or so chasing dragonflies, I haven't looked at my photos but found it very unrewarding while I was out there.
Love the soft background, your lense and skill did well
![]() I would be pleased to to capture in that position, you can really see the details of the hind legs and creating a bridge. I'm sure the origanl version has even more detail
Hmm...maybe Chris they just BUGGered off when you got too close? ![]() Fantastic shot Rel - I can see this one printed at about a 5x7' size with a nice wooden frame around it on a wall in your house...great capture! ![]() Geoff

Great capture Narelle and, apart from sharpness and exposure being spot on, I think you've left just enough of the surroundings to tell the story without making the bug too small. You've got this composition thing down pretty well!

Thank you all so much for looking at my shots, and for taking the time to even comment !! I truely think I'm starting to get better - and am learning so much from all of you in the forum. The macro shots from the forum have been amazing, and I continually find myself wishing that "I could take shots like that" !!!
Maybe one day, but till then, thanks for boosting my confidence ![]() Rel Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

Great shot! Nice composition, great timing.
The ladybird appears to be a tiny bit soft - I think its a DOF thing as the grass is very sharp. But could be my imagination too. Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
