Not a feathered bird lover, or shall we say these things are hard to shoot at times but i like the pic, nice and sharp and is all good well done.

bbj: the water bird series I posted today was tricky to get
I was stooping low using rushes as cover and then crawled thru some pointy stuff and laid there to get the shots. and they had very white heads. was using flash @ -2ev and exposure compensation of around -.66 also Steve check out my image gallery @

I actually knew that but somehow wrote black shouldered. guess I had kites on the mind. and I didnt even see one!! BTW been out looking at finchs again yesterday. trying to photograph a nutmeg? unfortunately not been able to get close enough for a positive id. seeing plenty of Red brows at the moment, quite a few carrying nesting material.
