Hi All, just a few thrills and spills from speedway last nite. Was very warm as was 40c late in the afternoon but cooled down early eve.
Was a good nite and i still hate using flash and i was surrounded by canon user's and seen 1 with a Metz flash so i now have a Metz 60ct-2 to try out next meeting. Ok well have Drags tomorrow to go shoot so should be good as long as it doesn't get too hot.
Enjoy

Great action shots!!
What is your lens of choice for these?
Thinking of buying the 70-200 2.8hsm sigma, any good for these type of fast action shots?

Thanks fella's, ok sorry had lots of visitors tonite so will try answer your questions.

#2 and 5 is a class they call super rods, they usually race these at Warnambool in Victoria.

Terminator, I always use my Sigma 70-200. It is my 99% lens as i use it for all the pics i take. I use the Nikon 300m F2.8 only in some corners where i am shooting bikes and so on.

Mal, i would take 300 + and well not many looser on daytime pics, but nite i hate shooting as well i gather no one can get a perfect shot i spose in darkness and under our light situations. Unfortunately we dont have good lights like they have in the big cities and stadiums in USA that lights the place like daylight and when your standing anywhere up to 20 meters away is hard.
I have aquired a Metz flash big sucker and going to give that a try next meeting.

Ok well off to bed soon have a 45min drive to the country drag stip here to have a play.
Cheers

Hey mate... Was jealous as hell yesterday when I could see you in the footage I was editing! and then to see these pics

I would have joined you, but us silly buggers had to run in our engines and this silly bugger ended up with some heat issues (I was crook!)

Enjoy the drags! catch up soon!
