#1 Quiet contemplation, I like it hard to tell on my LCD here but it looks a little soft, that probably helps with the 'dreamy' kind of feel to it

#2 Mintedo Jr, hmmm for me the DOF is a little too shallow, the OOF eye really grabs my attention

#3 I really really like this one, it's a really interesting shot and the expression on the statue is great

#4 I like the composition, but here it looks a little soft on my LCD.. the lighting pretty good

#5 Asbtract and interesting at first, but doesn't seem to stand up to further scruitiny

#6 I like this shot, I'm not 100% sure what it does but I can tell its to do with grapes and wine!

#7 I really like this shot, its very appealing, but I'm not sure about the $8 label

#8 This is a rippa shot, I really like this one. Great eye contact, excellent DOF and nicely exposed!

#9 Really like this shot, but the middle left OOF object is a bit distraction, I'd have tried to compose it to avoid it

#10 Bird of Paradise lovely flower but I don't think you've done it justice here, a lower perspective may have helped, perhaps a shallow DOF may have helped

#11 This one is really nice, great composition and I love the garden

Some nice shots there. You certainly crop in very tight with your images and I think a few of them would be better with a little extra space around them...specifically no 2,3 and the second last one. But that's the artists call and just a matter of taste.

2 is sensational, sharp work, nice tone & DOF, composition and i like the way the boy isn't looking into the camera even though he knows your takign a pic, it's like a semi contrived moment, high quality stuff
leighs shot however is not as strong
and number 5

What an odd bunch we are. My choices are different yet again. I like the dreaminess to the shot of Leigh, I like the first one of Thomas and I think it's stronger because of the tight crop, but #5 is the standout for me. Fantastic eye for detail. Simple clean lines, great colours and that tantalising glimpse of sky. #11 is bloody good, although I'd have liked a bit more of the foreground.

Oh oh, now my rambling...

#1, This I like, nice soft, almost dreamy, bummer about the background stuff but you take what you can get, very contemplative, nice tones... Really like this portrait.
#2, great candid image of attention... would clone out the arm in the BR cnr though
#3, Interesting, tempted to play with crops...
#4, Nice happy genuine memory...
#5, Interesting abstract(?)
#6, Wondering what it is???
#7, A good time waiting to be had there!
#8, Another good memory, the view in the background will remind you in many years where you where
#9, Ooooh.... Some light painting and dodge/burnin could make this one really interesting... This one I like but need to take detail away from the background in PP...
#10, Amazing flower, they're stunning when in good nick. Background's busy in this but they're still amazing flowers...
#11, Hooley dooley what a garden! Bit different to the jungle that's currently thriving in mine

Either #1 as they are, or #9 could be really interesting to PP though...

Some very interesting shots Geoff and good depiction of what by all accounts was a terrific meet. Envy reigns supreme through me once again.
#5 is a standout and #2(comments I agree with Wendell) Leigh's portrait offered great potential but is a little flat to me lacking the contrast and punch it needed to place it with the other 2 shots.

#1 - Soft but nice. Shows Leigh’s contemplative side brilliantly

#2 - Nice capture of the laddie but using f/4 or f/5.6 instead of f/2.0 would have given a sharper image with a bit more DOF

#3 - Again, a tad more DOF would have given that extra detail in the body

#4 - A very nicely framed capture

#5 - No comment

#6 - Interesting, firstly what is it? Secondly, I feel that a much tighter crop so that we only see the machine would give it more mystique

#7 - No comment

#8 - Beautifully positioned portrait. Application of 85% Radius 1 pixel in smart sharpen makes this pic sing

#9 - The OOF element is a distraction

#10 - What can I say - just love Strezzies

#11 - The right position, height and subject make this a very nice pic
