That patrol boat looks mean... reminds me of a boat in one of the bond movies.

Killa, nice shots mate. Love the Armidale class. You got any photos of HMAS Bathurst? Keep an eye out for it, I think it was launched this week. If you get any any good shots you may be able to unload them to the local council :)

When does Australia get it's Aegis class ships?

The new Patrol Boats are being built in WA so no, i havent got any of Bathurst, not yet anyway :)

The new PB's are a very nice boat. They look modern and handle quite well. The accomodation for the crew (both male and female) is the best in the fleet and is a VAST improvement over the old Fremantle class PB's. The design is based on the Austal Ships built customs patrol boats, but is a bit bigger and more heaviliy armed with a rapid fire 30mm cannon. (The Freeo's have a 40mm Bofor, but it is very old and was designed for anti-aircraft, not anti-Indonesian-fishing-boat-across-the-bow type of shots)

:)

The best part about these pics, Steve, is they show our Navy in action - something you don't see all that often. Love the first one especially.
