I think I find your 3rd, 6th, and 7th ones the most interesting.

The DOF seems to kill the second one.

the DOF on the 2nd i must say i like because there is so many layers to the image foreground, interest, background and far background that gives this image dimension, but hey thanks for the insight.

Wendell, they are all beautiful images. I have always enjoyed your architectural images, even the first ones i saw with your old coolpix. These are all excellent and are both a testiment to your skill and your ability with a fine instrument in the D2x.

When can we expect the book mate?????

my favourite 2 here are Jardin des Tuileries but I would have liked a bit more saturation in the sky
like the Palais Garnier also but feel the strong light coming in weakens it
near Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume: I felt that I wanted to look over the fence. would have liked that more had the oof fence been in the shot.

Absolutely inspirational Wendell..

There's one thing that really appeals to me and that's the "feeling" of Europe - bleak, cold, yet somehow beautiful!

I like the desaturate treatment of the images too.

alex number 6 appealed to me a little becuase as i walked along ave New York i saw a runway looking path which caught my eye. the only thing that bothers about thtat shot is the fact that the couple are too well defined, it would have been great if they were wearing black, as the modern clothes they are wearing destroys the romantacism of the type of shot i wanted.

Steve need to go back to paris many times to complete my set, but i will get a move on

as you may have noticed i like the desaturated look especially the more abstract shillhouette type of image which i achieve by shooting at a higher shutter speed than normal like 500-1/1000 directly into the sun
it has a lovely mood to the image also makes it look more painterly in a way more than photographic

Wendell, I think in No.6 the girls look as if they were wearing 19th century clothes. I think it has the right impact.
