So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

I went out for a ride around Riamukka State Forest today and here are a few of the images I collected along the way
A patch of various ground and treeferns beside the track, panorama made from 5 X 30mm photos in portrait orientation.
Not far down the track I came around a bend and there was a feral cat on the track. It was carrying a kitten, but dropped it and growled at me from about 5 metres away. The kitten spat and hissed a bit, but got used to me fairly quickly, it had amazing blue eyes. Being a feral cat I should have whacked it on the head, but it was too cute for that. You have all no doubt heard how big feral cats get, well this pic was taken with a wide angle lens from a metre away, it was huge!  
Here's a couple of macro pics of daisies, they were out in abundance.

Gordon, great photos but a good cat is a dead cat - would have made a nice steering wheel cover for some old lady...

cute shot of the cat, but feral cats do a lot of damage to native wildlife and need to be whacked.
definitely wouldnt have picked it for a feral either.

I'm not a cat person, and yea I know the damage they do, fortunately the goannas eat them around here
My gf, who is a cat person, would not have been impressed if I told her I took the pics then whacked it though!
Apart from that, that area is a declared hunting area according to the sign that appeared very recently, so the shooters will no doubt be blasting away at them.

in the past I have shot them on sight but agree could not have whacked it after taking shots such as this
glad the goannas get em up your way.
I got a few shots of one over 4 feet long yesterday. Posted a few shots also
was the biggest lizard I have seen in the wild for ages

I would have thought that the feral cats would be able to escape a lizard, although I have seen em go pretty fast when they have to.

agreed, I doubt a goanna would catch a lone adult feral cat, but I have seen them eating the kittens while the mother looked on helplessly here at home.
And I thought that was a very good thing

actually makes more sense. goannas go after the easy meal where ever possible. birds eggs, carrion etc.
