New Member - A couple of images

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Hi

Just joined the forum a couple of days ago after being told about it by a guy in the Camera House, Maroochydore. Have been browsing and am amazed by the talent among the forum members. So here are a couple of my shots for your c&c.

Would apprieciate some advice on the small pano overlooking the Sunshine Coast. It was taken on Saturday morning outside home but as you can see there is varying exposures. Three shots stitched together in Photoshop Elements 3, have no idea how to use it properly and I can see the joins in the images.

I have a D70s, my first digital camera that replaced an ageing Richo xr2s. It is taking me a little while to learn modern metering, programs etc. I reckon that the auto focus is fantastic though.

Hope my posting of the urls has worked; another first for me.

Thanks for all the welcome comments. I can't seem to get the URL working even after following the sticky. Is it supposed to be a clickable link or link off the thumbnail? Can anyone tell me what Iam doing wrong?

Yes Dug you should feel guilty, you sold me the camera last July. My wife has since been making noises about how much money and time I have spent on photography and dropping hints about dimond earrings.

Thanks

Craig

if you read the sticky post about how to post pix, it will sort out the problems.

Also, what I did until I was sure of how to post is click on preview, rather than submit.

If you get the images and all is as you wish, click on submit.

Craig,

Welcome to our forums, and what Steve said.

Please try to edit your post, and using the reference that Steve has provided, see if you can get yopur images posted correctly. Once you master this, you'll be surprised at how easy it becomes.

Finally, please note that any images to be posted here should have a width no greater than 800 pixels.

Hi Craig,
Fix up your links and then we can look at the panos. A lot of people recomment panorama factory for stitching of panos (I like it a lot) and you can download a free trial copy to have a look and compare it to PSE.
Welcome to the forum.
