First shot is nice and fantail is sharp.

A couple of suggestions, if you don't mind. Firstly, I would compose bird higher (too much empty space above bird). Also, background green is so bright and a bit distracting. You could possibly tone down in Photoshop or similar.

I can compose the bird a little higer as I cropped some off the bottom

I look forward to to you reposting with edits, Paul.

I saw Grey Fantails on a daily basis when I used to work as a nature guide and take bird photos at O'Reilly's Rainforest Guesthouse in Lamington National Park. Because I lived on site for 5 years, I used to venture out most days before/after work and on days off trying to capture the different bird species. These delightful birds are very similar to Willy Wagtails in their movements.

I'll be up at Binna Burra Mountain Lodge ( also in Lamington National Park)on March 18 and 19, running the bird-watching weekend. I'm sure to find the Grey Fantails and Eastern Yellow Robins (posted the other day), amongst others.
