Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Decided to camp outside Bourke St Mall last night for a few minutes and concentrate with the 50mm 1.8 on the GPO.
Here are a few of the results.
I quite like the last one a lot as the darkened pillars aren't as distracting and the girl's red top produces a nice contrast.
I really dislike drunk people, esp drunk teenage girls and drunk women who grew up in the 80s. Young teenie boppers think it's cool to jump in front of your camera as you take a pic and drunk 80s ladies tend to sing really annoying songs that get stuck in your head... 
No offense meant to the nice ladies out there  Just please don't sing Lionel Richie songs when you're drunk.

Wayne,
I've been wondering how you have been achieving the look and feel to these urban shots. I contemplated doing some last night when I was in Wollongong, but I am very interested in how you set up your shots.
I really like the almost ghost / movement you acheive in the people in your shots.

There is an interesting quality to this set of images Pirostich. I think the last and 2nd last i find most appealing

Craig, I just bumped the ISO up to the higher ranges - at least 800 and drop the shutter speed to about 1/20 or 1/30 and keep the aperture wide. At these speeds with the 50mm 1.8, it's best to find a nice place to sit or crouch and lean against as it's a bit difficult holding stuff still Oh I set the WB to fluorescent lighting as well.
My theory is, anything that's low light that doesn't look good in colour, convert to b&w and play with shadow and highlights  It works a treat!

Redline, yup they were. I didn't want to lug around my tripod that night I only do when I have the backpack with me.
