Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Greetings all,

This is the only photo I really liked from my weekend away at Barrington Tops.

This was treated with the Nik "Classic soft focus" filter in Photoshop.

I couldn't really slow down the water any further as I didn't have a ND filter on hand, all that was used was a Nikon Circular polariser.

Andrew

This is great, nothing to be unhappy about with this one. Interestingly I didn't get lots of keepers either. BUT where's your kookaburra pics

Hi Andrew,

very nice PP, has a real nice painting look to it. I still have to play with my water shots.

Nice to have met you, hope you got all the dust out of your car

And yes, where are the kookaburra photos? I even have posted a photo of you photographing one, so you can't deny it

Cheers,

André

Didn't turn out too bad at all!

I know I'll be purchasing a set of ND filters after borrowing one off Stubbsy (thanks!).

I like this one, I get lost in the dreamy quality of this one. I have to ask Stubbsy mentioned the other day using blue filters and now you've mentioned the soft filter, is there a pack that I have to download, or are they already somewhere inside CS2 ?

Appreciate the comments guys.

I had a great time that day with the drive and spending time with everybody.

It took me a few hours to wash my car and remove all the dust and mud underneath the car (there was even cow manure in the wheel arches).

Here is the Kookaburra shot just for you guys

Nothing wrong with the shutter speed there - the mix of movement with a bit of structure works well. I know when I try this sort of shot I tend to overdo the movement, so you should be happy with this one :)

Wish I could have joined you guys, but (as you can see another thread) I was a bit overtired - the comment from Pa about 3 hours sleep was accurate ;)
