Mont Saint Michel, Normandy - France in December
This place was magical, wondering around it was like a surreal fairy tale with a spooky twist.

Cool pics though I must admit that the OOF stones at the bottom of them are slightly distracting, I would really really like to go to normandy in france I have a real interest for history and this place is absolutly jam packed full to the brim of it.

Its a great spot. I was there in 1981. Olypmus 0m2n was my camera then...must dust off the old albums and try to remember. Actually far more spooky than that place was the destitutes hostel in San Sebastian where I stayed for a night not long after.

Few nice restaurants there along the walk, I wish I will come back one day.

I was there in the european summer of 2000. Great spot, have quite a few film photos of it taken with my F80.

I'd like to explore Normandy/Brittany with my D70 one day, or go back to Avignon/Arles.

Wendell apart from the last image I think they are all really good, and I love your treatment of the subjects. I looked at them for much longer than I normally do.

I stayed in Paris most of the time only ventured out when the cold weather got unbearable so only got a few days out of the city
just went around the loire valley and Château country the weather was great except that day at Mont Saint Michel, but overcast conditions gave this place that eerie quality i've seen pics of this place under the sun i t looks gorgeous.

Which Chateaus did you get to in the Loire?
Did you get to Tours?

I stayed there for a night. Went to Chinon, Chenonceau, Azay Le Rideau.
Second time I've been there. Once in Winter and once in Summer. It's as dead as a door nail during winter All the shop keepers/restaurant owners pack up and go to the French Alps for the winter.

Chinon, Chenonceau and some other one i can't remember weather wa sgood at these two but at the third
it snowed during one of my trips and it was really romantic but crap for the camera as the snow screwed stuck to the lens

I would of thought if you'd gone to Chinon and Chenoceau then you would go to Azay. Azay was about 15min from Chinon going east towards Tours.

I really need to get an process my France pics, when I get to the UK I will as I'm fed up with working on this G810 monitor (too fuzzy ).

back then i had no idea it was taken in Normandy

this is taken from Cancale in Brittany, on the other side of the "Baie du Mont Saint-Michel". Yes, I am lucky to go back often enough.

I am from Saint Malo. The old city is surrounded by Walls and is very nice.
. This is in Brittany, about 100K by road from Mont Saint-Michel.

Glad I found this thread, these have a great feel or ambience to them...

#3 seems like a fairy tale scene to me, the tower/castle thing and the swirly landscape opposite, looks great to me...

#6 is a similar feel, not sure on the OOF foreground though, not sure if it distracts me or I really like it

But the last one I love it! My eye goes straight to the foreground rocks and follows them up to the castle and hangs around with the clouds... This I likey lots...
