So how do you get all the girls to smile / look your way?
![]() Is it just the equipment that impresses them? Last time I went to Indy I only had my Powershot G2 ![]() ![]() Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/

When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.
I like the far right one, in the set of three. The one with the girl, next to the banner with the girl wearing the same clothes. Clever composition / good spotting. I wonder how they burn of all those calories, it isnt even diet coke

Often I had asked them for a shot, but sometimes the D70 and SB-800 (even with just the kit lens) is impressive enough for them to pose as soon as I point their way. ![]() I had to ask the lady with the umbrella to tilt the umbrella back, as it was covering her face with a big shadow. They are all very obliging... ![]()
With so much going on around, I was luck to spot it. I just wish her friend hadn't been in the shot. ![]()
I thought it was a funny shot. ![]() Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

I can only guess that all that outdoor smiling and posing really burn up energy.
Fair enough, if they are on their break, then they are just your better then average good looking girls, on a lunch break. And Nito your right, smiling uses a lot of muscles and burns a lot of calories.
Attraction due to superior equipment. ![]() Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm
