This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Hi all,
Well, I finally picked up my 70-200 f2.8 VR yesterday afternoon and like every new toy, I couldn't wait for this morning to have a quick play before going to work. Some of you may have remembered me talking about purchasing a second hand one. Well, I didn't. I got one brand new in stead for $300 more. I just couldn't get my head around spending that much money on second hand and not knowing the history of it. Long story but I may continue next time at a mini meet.
Here is one of my first shots. It's my dog Chloe.
Open to improvements. PS. For those of you who are interested in buying a second hand 70-200 VR f2.8 by quick, Chris Wong from Whilton Camera Service at 251 Elizabeth St, Sydney ph 02 9267 8429 has it. Might be worth a try.
Here is the thread.

Gotta love a spaniel.
Any type of spaniel.
Even a King Charles.
Mind you, she looks too tall for a King Charles. Is she full King Charles or does she have something else in her?

That's still tall for a King Charles.

Gorgeous dog, great pose and moment, sharp and the DOF seems spot-on, great shot, love it...
Long legs though... Maybe it's just the angle???
