my favourite here is the second.
the first suffers (imho) with the boat dead centre Steve check out my image gallery @

I too prefer the 2nd one the most out of the 3.
The 3rd image - there's so much chop on the water it almost looks like gravel...or is it just me who sees it like that? ![]() Thanx (as usual) for posting Steve ![]() Were u at these locations for work? Geoff

Hi Killa. I really like the first. The boat being in the middle makes a nice change to the thirds rule. The second one is great too. Not too fond of the last, although it would probably look a lot better larger, it's hard to see.
Interesting thing, composition. Rule of thirds, Neat and in the middle, either one is good and different people like different things. Sweet.
I personally liked the first one best, as it has the boat in it, which seemed so 'Whitsundays' to me ![]() Geoff, yes i was in both locales for work reasons. I was passing through the Whitsundays and in Melb for the Commonwealth Games. ![]() Steve.

Yep, the Whitsunday images are both stiched panos and also from a moving platform. The Melb image is just a crop. (Panorama Factory does a great job if you give it good images in the first instance.) The main issue of panos with moving objects is where it appears in a different spot in consecutive images. A quick clone-out of one of the boats and then it's easy to stich together. What still amazes me is how water can be stiched without any obvious signs of stitching, even though it's constantly in motion. Steve.

Steve - my pick is #2 - I think the clouds really make that shot. IN #1 (next best) the boat seems odd against the mountains somehow. #3 I can't wrap my head around the amazing sharpness of the water and the boats and the incredible softness of the horizon in the distance. Thanks for sharing these. Terrible job you have

I really like the composition of #1 notwithstanding the boat dead center. I'm especially impressed that these are stitched.
