hello everyone
i registered not long ago and this is my very first post. i'm very new to dslr or slr for that matter. currently i own nikon gear - d200 with few nikkor glasses.
i always wanted to get into the photography but never really had $ and time unit very recently!
i've lot to learn and maybe someday i can contribute a little. i’ve been thinking to enroll myself to school but I think I can do it on my own… i can try
i’m web designer by trade for a company known for its handhelds and smartphones. and I know I do my site one of these days, before 2010
that’s all for now

Welcome to the friendliest forum in the world, perhaps I'm a little biased but it's a great environment and you will find out lots here about your new toy and photographic techniques. Look forward to meeting you in the near future!!

hi and welcome,
As far as not posting pictures until you learn more......
I suggest that the best way to learn is to take shots and post em here.
If you ask for honest criticism, our membership will be able to help etc,
you will be shooting with the best of em in no time.

thank you for the warm welcome. i've been following this forum for sometime and i know this is a great place to be!
i'll definitely post pictures sometime soon to get your feedback. i'm still trying to figure out the controls on d200.
last week i was at grand prix in melbourne. i took few photos but it was very very hard to focus on the cars because of the massive fence. i'll post some of the photos later this week, they are not that great and i didn't expect them to be! before i sign off i thought i should share a photo of photographer who i believe was f1 official photographer.
if it was either one of you, let me know
