Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

The first two photos are excellent.

The horse in the final photo looks to be very pixellated and blochy. I guess if you are a show jumping horse and you don't jump very well, it may well mean a trip to the knackery on Monday :D

Thanks folks. :D

The last shot was taken in the indoor arena which is an absolute bugger of a place as it the jumping takes place under cover, but as there are no walls the background is always brilliant sunshine and with horses jumping flash is not very clever.. I tried that shot at 1250 ISO and then cropped and removed some of the noise with Noise Ninja.

I'm happy with the first 2. Taken in much better conditions. A friend had sold her horse recently and was keen to get a few shots of it jumping. I was only there for 30 minutes most of which was spent gas bagging so I only took a few shots. Amazingly, the 2nd shot of the grey was her horse. I had no idea. What are the odds of that with over 200 horses competing.
