I've been away to Adelaide and surrounds for a week, and I have over 5000 posts to catch up on

We dumped the cherubs off at their Grandparents and went to Adelaide last Monday to Friday, hired a car, and travelled around ther Fleurieu Peninsula, McLaren Vale and the Barossa. Ended up with 4 and a half cases of wine (red of course!), and 365 images! Here is a sample of a few. The rest will go up on my web site, once I have found an apropriate host!

Love the panorama - the transition from stormy to clear from left to right, even the unexpected green of the grass - just a really nice blend of stuff. Now imagine if somebody, realising the possibilities of the view, had designed a really nice building (rather than three 'garages') and put it in that location!

I also like the pier with the rays and clouds.

Jane

You have some cracker images here. The pano doesn't quite work for me as it seems a little distorted around the buildings. The second image of thepier is brilliant though and the best by far of these, but the second last is damn fine too.

Thanks guys!

I know what you mean about the 'garages', it's actually the back end of the souvenier shop/cafe unfortunately, but I couldn't do anything about it! I'm still getting my head around the panos, so It's not a 'bad' effort, just need more practice!

Here are a few more!

Some lovely images Jane. Really like the second one and I think the pano with a little more of the stair in the foreground framing the bay may have enhanced the pano. I also like the second last one in the first series. :)
cheers

That would have been sooo relaxing, sounds like you had a great time...

In the first series, the pano is really eye catching and interesting, but the one of the sky beaming through the clouds is awesome...

Enjoyed the second series too, especially the old cart and the hut...

Great images... :)

Your skill has definitely improved Jane (not that you were lacking in any to start of with).

My picks are the old rusty shed/garage and any of the rocks
Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone

 Trust me Wendell, you wouldn't want to be stuck there! It was freezing, the seas were rough and I was copping sea spray and sand in the face! It was horrible....but the things we do just to capture the moment!

stromygirl - thank you for showing me around my State. Adelaide South Coast has some amazing sights (rugged coast line), some of which you have captured extremely well. I too like the pano. Seeing that you were cold one day, I am sure the next you would have be warmed by the beautiful red wine we produce in this State.

Thanks Fozzie! I really enjoyed SA (what I managed to squeeze in), would have loved to have spent more time there and visited the Clare Valley and Flinders Rangers, but have to leave something for next time! The red wine is magnificent...still waiting on 2 cases to be delivered ;)
