Nice capture Heath. Pelicans are such beautiful birds too. So graceful in flight - so awkward landing and taking off.

Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Thanks all. Geoff- 70-200VR @ 200mm f/4 ISO:400 equiv. EDIT - Shot at a reasonable size in frame, but ideally 300-400mm would have filled frame more completely. 200 f/2 would be nice, with 1.7 TC, but I don't really take this kind of shot much. HB

This has got to be one of the best pelican shots I have seen for a long time. Great to be able to capture the bird in flight and the water splashing on the right gives it that extra dimension. Nicely exposed, too.
