Snow Gums at PerisherA few snow gum photos. I have had trouble getting the right look in PS. Any advice on colours etc would be appreciated.

Just what do you think you're doing Dave?
Hi there
![]() I had a quick play with #1 - increased saturation a tad, levels (to increase contrast) and Unsharp Masking. ![]() I think that part of the problem is that you're using Adobe RGB instead of sRGB - it has more colours, but doesn't work well on the web. As soon as I opened the file on my compter it looked more saturated and vibrant. When you're converting from RAW, set the option down the bottom of the screen to sRGB if the photos are just going up on the web and aren't getting printed.
Excellent - thankyou! That looks so much better

Quick go at the last:
![]() Looking at it now the reds in the tree could use a further boost, but you get the idea. The main problem with it is a colour cast. All the trees are purpley/blue, maybe white balance was out? I think that in my correction I've made it a bit too green. Method was: Image =>Adjustments=>Variations to remove the colour cast. Then a tiny bit of saturation, levels and USM. Edit: speeling ![]()
No - the white balance was fine, but I have merged two versions of exposure levels to get the sky right, and this has affected the trees as well. Thing is i am playing in PS without really knowing what I am doing. But I am learning....
