Here are the last of my Darling Harbour shots from the weekend just gone. These shots are of the various water sculptures. Click here for all my Darling Harbour pics. Click any image below to see a larger version.
For a colour version of this image click here
This one is a bit of a cheat. I only liked half the original image, so I sliced it down the middle and reflected it around the vertical axis. Click here to see the original (minimal PP).
Liked the effect in this one
and a final one with a bit more colour
Edit: added 3rd image
2nd Edit: Added link to original version of #2

I prefer the first one in colour. It looks a little like a sewage treatment plan in B&W.

Nice. Love the first one. Took me a few seconds to figure out what was depicted.

Peter - the first pic does it for me but to make it even more surreal I would crop down and remove the paving totally

Great series of shots Peter. You always manage to find an interesting angle, composition or presentation style that makes a good shot great.
Last shot is my favourite though I agree with Chris that cropping the first one would greatly improve it - it would be hard to tell exactly what it was!

Cool shots,
the first is the winner for me, nice pp on that shot.
Also like the second, but not quite as much as the first.

Peter, #1 and #2 are fine images. You've tastefully PP'd them and they're indicative of your recognisable style.
The thing about going on a photo shoot in Darling Harbour is the challenge of finding a unique angle, and that can be bloody hard considering how many photos are snapped off each day in the area.

Cool shots! It's great to see something you think you've seen already in different way. For my money I like #1 in colour and #2.

Peter,
The first two of these do it for me.
I think that what you've done with the second is especially effective, and it worked very well.

#2 is great. 'Cheating' has worked well.

The second and third are the ones for me. I love what you have done with the second - very creative. All those water droplets in the third have me mesmerised.

A shot of the master at work, shame no one had a shot of Stubbsy, Daniel_r and myself all getting similar shots at a super low angle.

Love the first 3 stubbsy.
The b&w treatment in the first one really helps draw the attention. Love the mixture of the silky smooth water with the hard edges of the concrete squares.
The second pic reminds me of some water pics you'd see in stock image libraries. Great stuff.
Love the way the motion of the water has been frozen in the 3rd pic.

Thank you all for your comments. Darling harbour is a place that fascinates me photographically and I have yet to plumb it's depths. Craig - that shot is me taking the 2nd image here.
Re: Cropping the pavement in #1 - I tried it before I posted, but lost too much of the image in the process
