A polaroid moment

Hi peoplz,

This is my first post on this forum - I have been hanging around on other forums for a few years but noticed this one here locally just recently. There seems to be a good mood and flavour here

I'm a local myself and do some paying event work here when I can. I also enjoy experimenting in alternative areas of photo work.

Below is some idea I have about alternative presentation methods. I'd be interested in your comments on it.

Simon - welcome to the forum and what a superb photo. The presentation is excellent (and I am a great hater of borders), the action feel, the colours, the subject all add up to one superlative photo.

Heh, well I reckon in-focus shots are easy to get. The moment and the projection of the image to the viewer is the hard part

Welcome to the forum Simon - you will love it here. Many of us are addicted, I am one of them!

I like the feel of the first shot, and whilst sounding a little well, non arty farty, I would've preferred this one to be a LITTLE more in focus. That said it's a goodie! The second one - yes, it sure is sharp.

Are you a Nikon or Canon man? What gear/lenses are you shooting with? Lots of members put their weaponary in their signature. I like to see what results people achieve with what lenses.

Simon I meant no offence with my in focus comment (plenty of my shots aren't in focus, some intentionally, often not so intentionally)

The second shot is definitely sharp! The women has great facial features! and again welcome to the forum!

I too have reservations about framed shots and use them with great reserve. Gear: D2Hs, Nikkor 17-35 f/2.8, ISO 1000 + grain added in PP and about 1/30 sec

I'm looking into better ways to present work so these comments you give are well receieved.

I have so many pics and I'm lazy as hell when updating websites etc so I'll post a few more that I reckon you might like.

Excellent, a sense of humour will get your far, and you have some nice equipment too, and your definitely in the right place for feedback, it comes thick and fast around here most the time
