Happy with this one:

Just not sure how to make some of my photos 'pop'? Any ideas?

Flash decided to turn itself off so no fill flash ... still okay I think

Flash working ... but I think the L glass is a little too sharp sometimes ...

A couple from the weddingSome from the wedding I shot. Gear was 20D, 24-105 F4 L, 580EX with LSPJII. It was very informal, I was not 'replacing' a pro photog (they were not going to get one), I was just someone at the wedding with a bit more gear than a digital PnS.

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
Dion,
First and last ones work well. Good expression (natural) on young girl and good sharpness and light on couple in last shot. Cheers Michael
Nice Dion. The light does seem a little harse in the last one.
Hope you don't mind but I spent a minute on it to remove some of the reflections and then ran a light noise ninja over it. I've been experimenting a lot lately with that technigue and the ladies love the effect. ![]() Cheers

Did you shoot Raw or JPEG? It looks as if you've got way too much in-camera sharpening happening..

Mark,
Yeah I figure I might have to do that. Vort - shot in RAW, no sharpening in camera. Just PP'd sharpening, and very lightly at that (ie less than I normally do for say landscapes or urban shots).
