Great action shots John - but I don't think the chick in the last shot is padded up enough !!!! ;)

Yes Tim, sometimes they do but most people know me and see my pics in the paper very often as i have photo's in the local rag nearly every week in sports section etc... But yeh no hassles they are just amazed at times and i will often show thos who are interested a few of the pics i had taken on the preview screen. I did use the D2x and 300m f2.8 with all my shots today i have been using the lens all the time latey, love it.

Cool, sounds like ur setup John..

I would like to give this kind of photography a shot.. im surrounded by sports fields... Soccer, Football, AFL, NRL, Netball and Hockey.. all within 3mins drive ... but im worried someone is going to give me the 3rd degree if i show up with a camera and big lens

Tim, yeh can be a bit daunting at first but yeh i guess you really need to be doing it for awhile and then if people ask you you then can tell them the pics are available etc... I had one of the kids playing soccer sometime ago so i know a few there. All about being seen, become a regular to the fields and soon people will ask what you do it for, i often say for practice at shooting something slower unless i submit to paper.

Cheers

Nice work BBJ :D , I take shots for my club as well, it can be difficult to predict the play even when your a player yourself.
You've done very well considering, love the perspective of the last shot as it's not a normal image of how you see the goalkeepers in the game. 8)
